Moore Park

Morning activities at Moore Park include Art and Engineering Judging along with equipment and safety checks for pilots and vehicles. This is a great time to get a close up look at these kontraptions. Activities will commence around 8:00 AM.

Start

After check in, safety & equipment checks around 10:16 racers will head out down the link river trail. then Killer KAGO Hill.

But don't leave, racers will be back to the volleyball court for Sand after a lunch break.

KAGO Hill back Moore Park

Racers will be faced with "Killer KAGO Hill", a steep paved paved road. It may be only 3/10 of a mile, but it feels more like 3. It raises from 4104 ft to 4311 ft. The race will then travel "The Gravel Boulevard" toward Moore Park. This has the max elevation of the course at 4387 ft. Those surviving will continue to Moore Park and a tour through the upper sections of the park. Racers are advised to watch out for deer and the occasional cougar, oh and speed bumps. The views are well worth the short climbs.

Spectators, you can walk or bike to KAGO Hill to watch pilots sweat up this steep challenge. You can bike or walk with the sculptures along the Gravel Blvd to Moore Park, 2 or 3 miles.

Moore Park

You can watch from several places, depending on how fast you are and how fast the sculptures are. They will finish this leg at the picnic area. Vehicles should start arriving around 12:16 PM. Here's another chance to see the vehicles and talk to the racers.

Sand

How could you have a Kinetic Sculpture Race without sand? However for the KKC this section is short, just long enough to sink the unprepared and amaze the hordes of fans. This will occur in Moore Park starting at 1:30 PM. Each sculpture will be individually timed through this section.

This finishes the Klamath Kinetic Challenge for the day.
